Members of the Laera Instiute participated in the UArctic Assembly in Inari June 6 through 9 in 2025. Heather Nicol, Laera Institute lead, and Diane Hirshberg, VP Academic, UArctic led a number of sessions on circumpolar studies partnerships and curriculum and a special meeting to discuss potential networking for North American Arctic member institutions. Laera signalled its desire to continue to support Circumpolar Studies curriculum and program development, and support for new initiatives and partnerships.
